Change Log: eFAD 1.37
eFAD 1.37 has several fixes and several new enhancements, see change log.
This release is one of the biggest releases we have done in awhile. There are two big enhancements in the program a new TAF system and support for Palm OS browsers.
New TAF System ...
The new TAF section has some noticeable changes. For starts it is much faster, the system downloads the reports from NOAA instead of DUATS. This provides a much faster download and works world-wide. Next, the system will now find the closest TAF. So if the airport you are viewing does not have a TAF the system will now show the closest location. We have also added an enhanced TAF decoder, the system will display in plain English the translated report.
Palm OS Browser Support ...
This has been one of the "Thorns In My Side" for awhile. I have a Palm Treo 700P and ever since eFAD 1.0 Palm users had to re-enter the password and username. This problem has now been fixed. All you need to do is (from your PDA) goto the http://www.pspda.com/mos, you will see a login screen. Type your username and password, once validated the system will create a unique link for you to use. This bookmark link will be what you want to bookmark on your device.
